Although the Telluride Ski Resort has delayed their opening by a week until 12/3, there are still plenty of exciting outdoor adventures in and around the Telluride area this Thanksgiving.

Telluride Nordic Center

From skate skiing to sledding, the Telluride Nordic Association has something for everyone, located in our own backyard.

Fat Tire Bikes

Enjoy year-round bike riding in Telluride with big tire bike rides. Cruise the Valley Floor or get a great cardio workout by climbing up Bear Creek. You can request half-day or full-day fat tire bike rentals or tours.

Flip flops, running shoes, hiking boots and snow shoes – there is plenty of use for all of them.

West End Trails Alliance

The WETA mission is to promote non-motorized recreation in the West Ends of San Miguel and Montrose Counties, plus the southwestern portion of Mesa County, all in the State of Colorado. They have inventoried over 30 trails in these areas that cater to a multitude of activities and ability levels. Discover biking, hiking, trail running, photo opportunities, and much more!

Mountain Bike Trails

MTB Project is a free, crowd-sourced database that provides cyclists with access to maps, guides, photos, user ratings, GPS tracks, and detailed descriptions with over 486 recommended routes and 3,259 trails in Colorado, including the Shamrock Trail – a nearby 4.2 mile singletrack trail located in the Paradox Valley.

MOAB RECOMMENDATIONS

Arches National Park

Visit Arches to discover a landscape of contrasting colors, land forms, and textures unlike any other in the world. The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches and hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive rock fins, and giant balanced rocks. This red-rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations, refresh you with its trails, and inspire you with its sunsets. A day of hiking in Arches is guaranteed fun!

Milt’s Stop & Eat

Milt’s is Moab’s oldest restaurant. It was first opened in September of 1954, by Milt Galbraith. Much of Milt’s remains the same as it did in 1954. Milt’s is still known for its delicious burgers and refreshing malts.

Desert Bistro

The Desert Bistro is an upscale venue plating adventurous Southwestern cuisine in an intimate setting with a wine cellar.

Hoodoo Moab 

Hoodoo Moab, Curio Collection by Hilton features a great location with modern meets Western décor. Guests enjoy our onsite restaurant and bar, heated outdoor and a full-service spa.
