Dubbed by Trout Unlimited as being one of the ”Top 100 Trout Rivers in America” the Roaring Forks Ranch on the Dolores River is, simply put, the best 3+ mile stretch of fishery on the entire river. The property controls both sides of the river and is fed by a dozen brook, rainbow and brown trout streams emanating from the high elevation watershed with sparkling headwaters near Lizard pass just south of Telluride. Most notably the Roaring Forks River tributary feeds this stretch of the Dolores River with a very rare and pure strain of Colorado Cutthroat.
